Not everyone is good at finding ideas, especially imaginative ones. Well, something that we can do is learn from history and obtain a general idea of what kind of logos are good and what kind are bad. As an example, if you read my report, I included a summary of a few of the top logos in history. On the other hand, this doesn’t really help you in deciding what to avoid. Let’s quickly go there.
For the most part, you want to avoid logos that are in poor taste especially for a Business Logo Design. Any logo that could easily be seen as offending a group of persons should be avoided at all costs. That means any logo with a sexual connotation should be avoided…especially if it’s a graphic portrayal. Logos that are very complex in design should also be avoided as they won’t render well at small size.

One of the worst logos ever designed was the one for Rising Sun Sushi. I don’t determine what the Logo Graphic designer was looking for nonetheless it is painfully obvious upon first glance that the logo, intentional or otherw

ise, represents a rather perverse act. I’ll leave it at that. The Arlington Pediatric Center was going for the design of a grownup patting a young child on the head, but the way the logo was rendered, well, it appears like another terrible perverse act. Again, what were these people thinking. Kostelecke Uzeniny (don’t even ask me what it means) appears to be a man eating a sausage link.

Well, it looks more like something else and another example of a logo gone bad.

Point is, if you can look at your logo and think of a joke for it, then you’re probably best scrapping it. If you wish to hire some guys who will design a killer logo for you, take a look at Logo Design Ideas. Today’s software for logo design is incredibly comprehensive. It’s also one heck of a learning curve. Sketching something on a piece of paper is one thing. Transforming it into a work of art using Photo-shop or some other software is not as easy as it looks. Years go into perfecting technique. Because of this, few companies actually create their own logos, at least not entirely by themselves. Issue is, who can you trust for something extremely important?
