Proudly owning an electric vehicle like a scooter, car, motorbike or maybe a bicycle has probably been the last thing you’d probably consider. But in reality electric vehicles are greatly becoming a popular choice for individuals of all ages! Electric cars are likely to be a favored choice within 10 years.
Positive aspects of owning an electric car
Cheap fuel – Nobody will disagree with the fact that petrol
is now stupidly overpriced. There does not look there will be any chance of it getting lower anytime soon. If you live in england, you will be more aware of the cost because it is climbing frequently. Electricity is indeed much cheaper than petrol.
Saving the environment – Imagine just how much you will be contributing to saving the planet without all those petrol emission being released! An electric car is 100% emission free.
These two advantages are huge not just on your bank balance but also to the planet.
Negatives
With everything else you will find the bad and
the good so here is the disadvantage to owning an electric car.
Limited range- As I say this I am hesitant. Manufacturers are currently taking the electric car seriously and designing vehicles that are eye catching and suitable for all drivers, but as yet the ranges are limited and varied in price. You will observe some big names producing hybrid cars which are not all electric but none the less very credible.
Limited travelling distance – You need to consider the number of miles you intend to do in one go as the battery will need charging.
Battery charging time – Some batteries can take six hours to charge, not good if you need to pop out on an emergency journey.
Lack of power – The electric car still trails behind the gas car when it comes to power.
Summary
I think electric vehicles are the future but whether you choose to buy one now depends on your situation. Consider all the pros and cons and keep an eye out for the growing market.
